MISSING IN ACTION: MAX'S HEARING AID

Max's hearing aid has gone missing in action...and I imagine he is quite the happy guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he himself didn't give it to the dogs. (The only reason I am not blaming it on him is because he hasn't reached that "giving" skill yet!)

So I am pretty bummed...we have really been trying to wear it more often. But he always is pulling it out...as evidenced in the photos below. As soon as I put it in, he reaches to take it out. It's quite a challenge!

For now, Maxwell has won. But don't worry Max, I am making calls today and hopefully we can get a replacement quickly. (And very importantly, we are HOPING that insurance will cover this one.)

What is this thing in my ear? I keep taking it out, Mom keeps putting it back in.

Maybe if I tilt my head backwards, it will just fall out?

Here I'll just take it out with a simple tug...

No that's alright Mommy, you keep it.

Oh Max, you are getting to be quite a little man. Now show Mommy where you hid your hearing aid.

Amy, you do an incredible job with Max. He has come soooooo far and it's because of you.

Love & Prayers,
Carolyn

The last picture here was worth the click to check things out! He is SOOOO cute! Is it wrong if I say I'd like to bite his cheeks? Softly and just once or twice...

I hear dogs like to eat hearing aids (and other things made from the same material)... look for guilty snouts.

Amy,

When Cameron was little we used a "croakie" for his hearing aids. It was a device that strung both hearings aids and then had a clip you could use to attach to the neck of the shirt. If the hearing aid was pulled out it would be on the string attached to the shirt.

If you need one, I'll send up Cameron's as he no longer pulls his aids out. It's a must have for hearing aids and little ones.
Love,

I love that last picture. Doesn't it look like Max is saying "talk to the hand, Mom."

Great pictures and glad to hear you are having a good time with family.
